Well, it’s officially the start of autumn… probably my very favorite season, for many different reasons. Firstly, the weather, of course. I’m lucky enough to live in a state that experiences all four seasons, which I personally prefer, actually.
Some people don’t like summer, or don’t like winter… but I honestly love them all, each for their own special reasons. But it’s true that autumn probably takes first place if I really had to choose…
Because yes! The weather turns GLORIOUS around here. AND then there’s Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. If you didn’t already know, I ADORE costumes and cosplay. So naturally I love Halloween, because it’s another excuse during the year to dress up, hehe. (Our local RenFest and local comic con being the other two occasions I like to don some sort of unusual outfit! ;))
And then there’s also my Pavlovian response to this time of year thanks to participating in NaNoWriMo for so many years, lolol. But for real. As soon as the weather starts turning cooler and the leaves start turning colors, I start ITCHING LIKE CRAZY to cozy up with a good coffee and write some words! ^_^ (a feeling I most certainly welcome these days, as it seems to be in scarce supply, eek.)
While NaNoWriMo went downhill the last few years and finally officially shut down not too long ago, I recently heard news it has been resurrected in a non-organized way through NaNoWriMo 2.0. I miss the good ol’ days of NaNoWriMo 1.0 though for sure… but I guess at least this 2.0 and its provided resources is something. And something is better than nothing. 😛
BUT none of this is actually why I wanted to make this post! Hah. While I store up this “REALLY WANT TO WRITE SOMETHING” energy, I’ve been a busy little bee creating some other book-related things, which is the real reason I wanted to make this post… because I ended up making all of these things all at the same time, and instead of making 3 different posts about each of them separately, I decided to lump them all together into one. 🙂
So here we go!

All right, I admit… I came up with this one real last-minute. Hah! I have a decent amount of damaged/misprinted books languishing in my closet, and I’m kinda tired of storing them, you know? So I figured why not offer them at a steep discount, because the story within them is still 100% just fine!
This particular Scratch & Dent sale involves the special edition illustrated hardback of Bargain at Bravebank… usually an in-person event or Kickstarter exclusive ONLY… but since the printer decided to muck up a few copies in-transit due to a truly terrible packing job, I’m now offering the chance to grab one of these at a special reduced price… HALF PRICE, that is! 
The same gorgeous book and great story… but with a few minor physical scrapes and bruises! 
These copies have the following “defects”:
- slightly dusty due to their box not being all the way sealed… and apparently they took a trip down a gravel road at some point???
- the dust jackets (haha, that’s funnier to say when they literally arrived dusty…) were partially stuck to the adhesive holding the box closed… I know, seriously! I managed to get them unstuck without serious damage to the dust jackets, but all of them have a bit of slightly sticky/dirty residue left in some places along the top edge (which you can probably remove yourself well enough with some gentle love and care – and rubbing alcohol)
- everything else is fine! I know it’s not really that much, but these books were meant to be EXQUISITE hardbacks, and I refused to sell them at full price if they were anything less than PERFECT!
- my frustration is your gain!

The Spooky Book Box! A limited edition, limited time book box available ONLY in October!!!
The official start of spooky season really puts me in the mood for all things spooky… which is usually not my vibe, it’s true. BUT IT SURE IS DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER!!!! lolol.
