1.3.2011, Novel in a Year Exercise 2: Write down, in plain English, clearly and concisely, why you want to write a novel - not why you want to be a writer, but why, specifically, a novelist. Be simple and honest about it. "I want to write a novel because..." I was shocked to realize, upon reading the instructions for this exercise, that I had actually never once considered the WHY behind my insatiable desire to write, and my long-held dream of actually publishing a ... Novel in Year Exercise 1
Novel in a Year 12.30.10 (Guardian Angel: Lynn Calapari) Exercise 1: Complete the sentence “The day after my eighth birthday, my father told me…” (then write what else comes to mind, or not, whatever the case) The day after my eighth birthday, my father told me it was all a lie. I've thought about it alot, but just haven't been able to get myself to sit down and physically get the ideas out. But today is a nice rainy day and ... View Post

Last night, while trying to go to sleep, a fabulous ... View Post

Heh. That being said, I've got fifty pages written so far. Not really a lot, but more than it feels like to me. And I guess a page for each bout of writing isn't terribly bad considering I get about fifteen minutes ... View Post
