Greetings, all!
Today, I have a pretty fun short video of my limited edition paperbacks’ unboxing!
You may have come to the conclusion that I had fallen off the face of our fair planet recently.
Thankfully, that is not the case.
I have neglected this blog (mostly) purposefully lately for several reasons:
- July was Camp NaNoWriMo, and I intended to write 20,000 words on a brand spanking new fantasy novel
- Instead I wrote 3000-ish words on the brand spanking new fantasy novel, and then wrote 14,169 new words in edits and rewrites for the scifi novel PRIMUS (now tentatively titled DUO…maybe?)
- The kiddo starts his first year of school NEXT WEEK, so I’ve been lost in a tangle of back-to-school duties
- I’m in the process of entirely re-vamping this website (I’ve hired a professional and everything!) so I’ve kind of been letting this “old version” wallow while we brainstorm the new and glorious age of AWESOME that will shortly become this space ^_^
- Fellow members of Wordwraith Books management and I have been furiously preparing for our first time ever as vendors at a local comic con!!!!
I’m not sure what to make of items 1 and 2 on that list, really. I’ll go into more detail on my ever-changing future project list in a different post, but for now just know that everything on the writing front is chugging along as quickly as it can these days.
Item 3 makes me rather sad and depressed and rather stressed out. Our school district doesn’t make it all that easy to figure out what the heck is going on and what you’re supposed to do about it. But I digress. The kiddo did go to a summer camp at his future school this summer and LOVED it, so I have high hopes he’ll have a good experience when he starts NEXT WEEK, even if I don’t. *cries*
Item 4 … I just can’t WAIT for you all to see the new layout and colors and everything!!!! It’s going to be EPIC!!!!!
And item 5, which is probably the most exciting of all!
So without further ado, HERE is the video of the Great Unboxing! These paperbacks will only be available at the convention, and there will be a limited number of them as well. I created these specifically for Kansas City Comic Con, which is why they aren’t available anywhere else. They contain my popular science fiction short story DREAMERS and two other bonus stories, A.N.G.E.L.s and In Death, Everything. Come on down to Kansas City and see us! We’ll be at table #725!
