I saw another author do this once, and thought it was just the most fantastic idea.
Mostly because I’m nosey. 😉 Maybe it’s just my writer-brain that’s fascinated by getting a glimpse into people’s living and working spaces, but if you observe instead of just looking (as Sherlock might say), you can learn a lot about a person by snooping around through a tour of their house or other personal space.
So, in honor of cleaning and organizing my own writing space in preparation for NaNoWriMo, I have elected to share it with YOU!
And I do hope you will consider sharing your writing or working space with ME! I love seeing what makes my fellow writers tick … what are the little things you surround yourself with for optimal inspiration? What objects do you keep near you while working (even if not writing) to get you through the day?
Let me know in the comments here or on the video!
And thus, without further ado …
PS: No, I didn’t get too fancy with this video, but that’s okay! I wanted to actually get it done, which meant keeping it as non-complicated as possible!

Hufflepuff pride! 😀 Also, SUPER impressed that you write on that desk — I’m a space fiend. I’ll probably do a recording tonight of my writing space. It’s a bit on the bigger side, so if yours gets messy again, we’ll have to compare them because mine is always in a state of “controlled chaos”!

Wahooo!!! Go Hufflepuff! 😉
I DO indeed write on that tiny desk. It’s all I have room for at the moment. Although I will likely be getting an upgrade soon, so that’s exciting!
However … I have found that more space invites more clutter, so I try to keep things minimal. 😛 I should do another video of my computer and notes actually set up on the thing so you can see how I manage to wrangle everything onto that tiny real estate, lol.
YES, make a video of your desk!!! I’d LOVE to see it! ^_^ Show me your controlled chaos! Looking forward to it!

Thanks for letting us poke around in your work space! It’s fun to see little snippets of people’s lives. Is it weird that I’d often rather just poke about in someone’s room to try and figure them out than just sit down and talk with them?
Wait…not that I’m just breaking into houses.
I, too, am a Hufflepuff! 🙂

Thanks for reading and for the comment!
No, it’s not weird at all that you’d rather poke around … I’m the same way! 😉 After all, they may not tell you EVERYthing, lol.
And WAHOO! Go Hufflepuff!
