Since Saturdays are my main day to get any writing done, but also the main day I do any apartment cleaning, I have made a resolution to get my cleaning done during the week so I can actually have time on Saturdays to write. So far that resolution is working wonderfully! Here I am sitting on the deck in this unusually gorgeous January weather, listening to the birds, and I'm OFFICIALLY starting serious work on "Cheetah on the Roof" RIGHT NOW.
I already have 5800 words on this story typed up, with more hand-written in a seperate notebook. Today I will transfer the rest of the hand-written stuff to the computer and go from there. I will keep a log of my progress in this journal. My resolution has me writing novels at LEAST two days a week, so we'll see how that works out.
Till later…
EDIT: It is now 4:19pm and I'm at 8,078 words. Woot! Thats 2,278 words in a little less than two hours. Not too bad. Of course it was all stuff I'd already written, coming from a notebook (and I kinda have a neck cramp now, ow), and I'm still not finished getting it all typed yet, but I'm at a good stopping point for today. Geez, I had no idea I already had this much written for this story! Whew.
