Please note that J. R. Frontera, author, does not live in the European Union, is not an EU citizen, and does not have a legal presence in the EU. Still, she has taken the necessary steps to become GDPR compliant, which includes an extensive privacy policy. This policy is outlined below.

The use of the Internet pages of J. R. - g) Processor
Processor is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.
- h) Recipient
Recipient is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or another body, to which the personal data are disclosed, whether a third party or not. However, public authorities which may receive personal data in the framework of a particular inquiry in accordance with Union or Member State law shall not be regarded as recipients; the processing of those data by those public authorities shall be in compliance with the applicable data protection rules according to the purposes of the processing.
- i) Third party
Third party is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data.
- j) Consent
Consent of the data subject is any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.

- Purposes of general data collection
J. R. Frontera collects your email address so she can send you email newsletters as members of her Reader’s Club. The newsletters will include (but are not limited to) free books, news about new releases and special offers, news about multi-author promos, featured and recommended books, and progress reports and sneak peeks. These newsletters are sent once a month after the introductory sequence is completed.
Information about email opens, link clicks, and open locations helps J. R. Frontera gauge the success of her email campaigns and improve future campaigns, sort subscribers into different groups in order to send them emails of particular interest, and optimize her books’ availability, all of which help to improve her business and serve her readers better.
Information logged from WordPress on the website pages visitors are viewing, what links they follow, and what countries and languages they represent gives J. R. J. R. Frontera will never share your information with anyone, other than with her email provider, MailChimp, so that she may send you monthly newsletters, or if complying with a legal requirement.
Your information is stored with MailChimp. J. R. Frontera does not personally keep a record of email addresses connected with her email list.
J. R. Frontera is not responsible if MailChimp or WordPress has a data breach. However, if J. R. Frontera is alerted to such a breach, she will immediately alert those on her email list in turn.
- Length of time data is stored
Your information on MailChimp remains until manually deleted by J. R. Frontera. You can unsubscribe from J. R. Frontera’s email list at any time through the link included in each email newsletter, or by emailing J. R. Frontera at jrfrontera@gmail.com with a request to unsubscribe, but your information remains on MailChimp to prevent re-subscribes. If you want your information deleted entirely, thus also removing you from the email list, email your request to jrfrontera@gmail.com and she will delete it permanently.
- Children under age 15
J. R. Frontera’s website, newsletter, and books are intended for adults, ages 18 and older. If you are under the age of 15, please do not provide J. R. Frontera with any of your personal data, including your email address.
