NaNo Day 2: I feel like a REAL WRITER!!

Word Count Day One: 2834Word Count Day Two: 819The important thing to remember here is that I'm still ahead of schedule, and I've stuck with it for two days, which yes, is progress.  :)  I'll take anything I can get right now!  I stole my younger sister's desk while she's away at college and made myself a little NaNo headquarters in the corner of our bedroom.  It's small and unobtrusive, but gives me a place to put the laptop that's not on ... Dialogue Tags…. Detail or Distraction?

So obviously it wasn't REALLY the Return of Me last time I wrote in here. But it is now. ;)I am being forced to find another job and it's making me cranky and upset.  But, it also made me decide to stop F-ing around and actually get to REAL WORK on this novel thing.  If you've been keeping up with this journal, you are probably shaking your head and laughing right now.  I know.  How many times have I said this, right?Well. I enrolled in "12 Weeks to a ... CotR Word Count

Starting word count: 10,032 Ending word count:  10,722 Haven't worked too much on the stories lately... life has been really insane, especially this past week.  So much on my mind to think about, plan, and get done, I haven't had much energy for creating fictional problems for fictional people, meh.  I've thought about it alot, but just haven't been able to get myself to sit down and physically get the ideas out.  But today is a nice rainy day and ... My "mostly-retired" starts!

... from fanfiction, lol.  I finished Oligo FINALLY, woot woot!  Meaning the ONLY fanfic I have left to really work on at all right now is The Wall That Fell.  Since the idea of finishing that story like I had originally planned makes me want to throw up - due to the fact it would take another five years, probably - I have been agonizing over how to still finish it without compromising novel time.  Last night, while trying to go to sleep, a fabulous ... Slow and steady, said the tortoise to the hare…..

Sooooooo, I went back and took the average of how much I was handwriting on Guardian Angel at each sitting (because I date it in the margine each time I start writing), and it comes out to about one whopping page for each day I write.  Heh.  That being said, I've got fifty pages written so far.  Not really a lot, but more than it feels like to me.  And I guess a page for each bout of writing isn't terribly bad considering I get about fifteen minutes ... PROGRESS! In a manner of speaking…

I feel much better since that last post.  I'm a lot more on track now than I was then.  I only have one chapter left to write on my latest Mass Effect fanfiction, and then my cursed fanfic plot bunnies are being put away in a deep dark hole for awhile.  Despite having written the last posted chapter of "Oligo" (I squeezed it out in about three days of marathon writing... hubby was not happy about being ignored but I needed it out of my system!), and sort ...
