Good morning, my lovelies! Today I am *THRILLED* to share with you the cover for my soon-to-be-published short story entitled "In Death, Everything". This short was inspired by a poem I wrote a few years ago (by the name of "No Box For Me"), which was in turn inspired by an evening jog, where I saw a 110-year-old headstone in our local cemetery had broken in a recent storm. That got me to thinking. Which led to the poem, which led to this story. I recently decided I would go ahead ... View Post
Writing Goals: Project List for October 2015
Remember when I said October was going to be just as busy as September? Yeah. For some reason I thought it would be a great idea to self-publish two books this month. Silly me. But hey, I also once opened a dog grooming business and barely knew how to groom a dog. And ya know what? I had five clients my very first week. And all five clients ended up being very satisfied and happy clients. So what the hell. I can do this. Sure. *gulp* This month, my writing goals are to: Buy ... View Post
Bait, Fish, and Reel Report for September 2015
September was a rather productive month, actually, which amuses me because I did not set very many goals for the month, and subsequently accomplished a heckuvalot more than I expected! Here is a report of what I accomplished in the month of September 2015: - 30.5 hours editing Primus (only up to chapter 8, ugh)- Edited two of author friend's fantasy novel chapters - Compiled and organized handout for Wordwraiths' NaNoWriMo workshop and participated in workshop- Wrote my first children's ... 5 Reasons I Participate in the Writing Challenges on Twitter – And Why You Should, Too!

As to the first excuse, go here and be educated. As for the second excuse ... why are you a writer without a Twitter account!? But that discussion is for another day, so let's move ... View Post
Project List for September 2015
You know, every month I think, "Well this month is crazy, but next month will be better." No. That's never true. NEVER. Every "next month" ends up being just as crazy and hectic as the one before. So I should really give up on that thought process! Anyway, let's get on with it! Thinking about the rest of the month exhausts me already, considering our annual Chief's kickoff party bash is right around the corner ... View Post
Bait, Fish, and Reel Report for July 2015
It recently came to my attention that I had neglected to post a run-down of what I managed to accomplish during the very terrible month of July 2015! Since it's quite a miracle that I accomplished anything at all, considering (you can read all about that here), I wanted to be sure I documented what I DID get done. (And you can compare this to the monthly goals here.) So, in July 2015, I accomplished the following: - Started work on TWTF extra last chapter (~300 words) - Completed anthology ... View Post
