Someone once said that to be a successful and productive writer, one had to do the equivalent of “cutting bait, fishing, and reeling ‘em in, all at the same time”! This translates to writing as working on projects-in-progress while at the same time submitting completed projects to potential markets and also continuing to cultivate new ideas for future projects. In case you missed my previous post on this subject, at the end of every month I compile a list of what I accomplished as far as ... View Post

30 Facts about my 50k Words in November
This post idea comes from A Girl Who Writes, who tagged me in her post in a tricksy attempt to con me into doing this very thing! I suppose it worked. Lol. I know I have been super quiet around here for the past month, but I did, indeed, WIN NaNoWriMo, having written 50,327 words in 30 days! I posted a few excerpts throughout November from the NaNo WIP - if you happened to miss them, check out the Writing Prompt Wednesday category and you'll find them there easily enough! Writing Prompt Wednesday: An excerpt from "The Good Thing", the NaNo novel.
An itsy bitsy third piece for all of you lovely people! Thanks so much for reading and commenting and liking things around here! I really appreciate it! Mehehehe... ... View Post
Writing Prompt Wednesday: an excerpt from "The Good Thing", the NaNo Novel.

They led him out the front door, stumbling, mind and body numb. ... View Post
Writing Prompt Wednesday: an excerpt from "The Good Thing", the NaNo novel.
A small piece from Chapter 12 (conveniently titled "Shit Hits the Fan" at the moment, ha) of the current WIP, the novel I hope to finish during NaNoWriMo... this is an extremely rough draft, and in fact I have hardly any recollection of writing this part at all, since I was in a writing coma at the time. Seriously. Regardless, I hope you enjoy. :) -- JRF *** Vince waited. He waited, hunkered down behind the chicken coop, listening to his own rigidly-controlled breathing, to the pounding ... View Post
