Well. Having a baby and being a mom sure screws with your writing schedule. I have tried everything I could think of to still fit it in, but despite that my time writing novels, fanfiction, and playing video games has been drastically reduced. I tried that Novel in a Year book, but honestly it moved too slow and I didn't feel it gave any actual good book-writing advice. So I went to Writer's Digest.com and browsed around there. Copied and pasted some good ... View Post
Novel in a Year Exercise 2
1.3.2011, Novel in a Year Exercise 2: Write down, in plain English, clearly and concisely, why you want to write a novel - not why you want to be a writer, but why, specifically, a novelist. Be simple and honest about it. "I want to write a novel because..." I was shocked to realize, upon reading the instructions for this exercise, that I had actually never once considered the WHY behind my insatiable desire to write, and my long-held dream of actually publishing a ... CotR Word Count
Starting word count: 10,032 Ending word count: 10,722 Haven't worked too much on the stories lately... life has been really insane, especially this past week. So much on my mind to think about, plan, and get done, I haven't had much energy for creating fictional problems for fictional people, meh. I've thought about it alot, but just haven't been able to get myself to sit down and physically get the ideas out. But today is a nice rainy day and ... View Post
My "mostly-retired" starts!

Since the idea of finishing that story like I had originally planned makes me want to throw up - due to the fact it would take another five years, probably - I have been agonizing over how to still finish it without compromising novel time. Last night, while trying to go to sleep, a fabulous ... View Post
